Not Forgotten® Digital Asset Management
Some of our Legacy Product provide space for you to upload either 2GB or 20GB of digital data.
Please keep an important point in mind … this is a Legacy Product - which is designed to preserve someone's history. It is not a file management system. It is meant to be "filled" and sent off for preservation.
FILLING YOUR LEGACY PRODUCT / Before sealing the Legacy Product
During the process of filling your Legacy Product, you work in the "digital asset" area of the dashboard.
In this area you can:
- upload your files, photos, videos - using drag and drop.
- delete your files
- search the list of assets you have uploaded.
- if you have a duplicate file, the system will invite you to delete it
- see how much space you have used
The image above shows the digital asset page used while building your Legacy Product. Note the duplicate file indicated by the ! in yellow.
You simply have to click on the trash can to remove an item from your Legacy Product.
Also a good practice is to give the digital asset a name that references the file.
A file that is named IMG_8721.jpg does not provide much information about what that file is.
SEALING THE LEGACY PRODUCT
Once you finished preparing your digital assets, you can "submit" the Legacy Product. At this point the Legacy Product contents can no longer be edited or deleted or changed in any way. This is now your "Legacy Product" which is sent to various vaults for safe keeping.
In order to give our customers the peace of mind they seek that their precious documents will be safe for centuries, we copy the Legacy Product contents, archive them in various secure locations, and monitor them for data rot.
VIEWING THE LEGACY PRODUCT CONTENTS (IF YOU ARE THE LEGACY PRODUCT OWNER)
After your Legacy Product is in the archives you can still view the items that you uploaded to your Legacy Product, but you cannot change them. These can be accessed via your dashboard when you login.
This is a sample of a completed Legacy Product dashboard, you would simply click on the Digital Assets Cloud Location icon and it will download all of the assets you uploaded. This is also used to access the video you created .
